Clinical Research Education Networking and Consultancy
The Clinical Research Education Networking and Consultancy (CRENC) invites applications for its 2025/2026 Research Studentships. These studentships are designed to support Master’s, MD, and PhD students in gaining hands-on experience in medical research and biostatistics, while contributing to CRENC’s mission of advancing health research in Cameroon and beyond.
Duration
• Master’s and MD students: 3–12 months
• PhD students: 2–4 years
Each studentship includes a period of CRENC Fellow in Training (FIT) upon completion.
Training & Expectations
Students will:
• Receive structured training in principles of medical research and biostatistics.
• Contribute to scientific output through at least one publication (abstract/poster, case report, or research paper) by the end of their studentship.
Eligibility & Timing
• Projects and placements can be undertaken at any stage of a student’s program or immediately after, provided the candidate remains registered with a university or affiliated with a hospital or research center.
• Priority will be given to projects related to cardiovascular diseases and HIV/AIDS, particularly in detection, treatment, control, and prevention.

Deadline
Applications are open until 30th December 2025.
• Studentships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis if eligibility criteria are met.
• Limited funding may be available through existing project grants. However, most studentships will be self-funded.
