Peter Vanes Ebasone, MD, PhD(c)

Doctor Ebasone is a physician and graduate of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Buea, Cameroon. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Cape, South Africa studying Co-morbid Cardiometabolic Diseases among people living with HIV/AIDS included in the IeDEA study in Cameroon. He is a research fellow at CRENC, where has also been a project manager, leading projects including the CRENC eLearning platform for promoting evidence-based medicine. He is also a research fellow at the South African Medical Research Council.
As research experience, he has been a sub-investigator in the multinational Comparison of Dual Therapies for Lowering Blood Pressure in Black Africans (CREOLE) trial. He has also been study coordinator in several research studies including the IeDEA linked K01 (Mental Health and HIV) sub-study. He is currently the Director of Research Operations and responsible for coordinating all study research operations in IeDEA sites in Cameroon.
His key areas of interest are in NCDs and HIV/AIDs research, genomics, AI, and Big Data for healthcare.
